Cinnamon Muffins recipe
Cinnamon Muffins are a delicious and delightful way to start any morning! The simple muffins are created using a standard muffin recipe, and are topped with decadent cinnamon sugar for a special treat. They are so simple that you can prepare them for weekday breakfasts, surprise brunches, or even just a snack.
Ingredients list:
2 eggs
3 c. flour
1 c. milk
1 c. sugar
5 Tbsp butter
5 Tbsp shortening
3 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 c. melted butter
1 c. sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 12 three-inch muffin pan cups.
2. In large bowl combine butter, shortening and 1 c. sugar. Cream until smooth. Beat in eggs, salt, nutmeg, and baking powder.
4. Slowly stir in flour and milk alternately until mixture is just combined, and still lumpy.
5. Fill muffin cups to the top, and bake for 20 minutes.
6. Cool for 10-15 minutes.
7. In small bowl combine 1 c. sugar and 1 Tbsp cinnamon. Brush each muffin with melted butter and top with cinnamon sugar.
